U9 wolves go to runcorn

THE GAME

Wolves went all the way to Runcorn today for a friendly against a very good side Beachwood gems

We was brillant in the first half again the same as last week, passing the ball around, getting stuck into tackles and using the space, we went into the break 1-0 down by a last minute goal before the whistle.

2nd half we got tired towards the end and conceded 3 easy goals. Apart from that we was Strong and solid in defence throughout, By far our best performance so far as a team, we had our chances and unfortunately didn’t take them.

Every single week the girls are progressively getting better and stronger & we’re showing that in our performances against higher ability teams.

My player of the match was jheyla solid in defence, getting stuck in and making some very good strong tackles

The other team also voted jheyla as there man of the match😁

Also we had a full squad for the first time ever😂 So I did manage to get a team photo

U13 storm MATCH REPORT

29/06/2024 Broadheath 0-11 Storm

A Superb performance and result from Storm today in a friendly away at Broadheath. The girls showed their intentions from the start. We put pressure on the opposition and it wasn’t long before they were camped in their own half. Colbie and Emilie complimented each other in midfield. Colbie sitting a little deeper always providing an option and Emilie supporting the attack of Layla, Amelia, Ellie and Annabel, breaking lines. On the rare occasion the opposition did mount an attack, Millie, Tabs and Morgan dealt with it expertly.

Emilie scored the first goal with a great strike just inside the area. Amelia getting the second with a poachers finish before halftime. At the break we asked for a bit more composure and I think we got that. If not the girls most definitely turned the screw. Emilie moved to the right wing and had a lot of joy taking her tally to five with some fantastic goals. Amelia added another along with Morgan from midfield and Layla with a nice finish into the bottom corner. Holly completed the scoring with two fantastic long range strikes.

One of the most pleasing things was that we were happy to keep possession, not afraid to go back to players in space. Opposition player of the match was Emilie which was fully deserved. Coaches player was Millie. She won everything at CB but always looked to provide a pass rather than aimlessly clear. Great to see her applying what we’ve worked on in training. All the girls were brilliant though and all played their part in a strong win.
